Back from Midoricon's second year! Let's get to it!
Midoricon is everything I dream of in a con - creative, small, PLENTY of good photo locations, and run by a dedicated team willing to try ANY crazy idea in the name of fun and geekery. (Really, they should have you at "Live Action Mario Kart"!)
It often feels like I miss out on the fun at cons. As Midoricon Kappa Captain/ Photographer, I got to play as well as work! I ran a
game of Kakurenbo, helped assemble Mario Karts, and freaked people out
on the Slenderman Hike. I was also a Wild Pokémon trainer. People had to
challenge me for Pikachus! (Pikachus use FLASH, get it? :P)
Oh yeah - and I took just a COUPLE of pictures... (Sleep? What is this sleep? HAHAHAHA you are so funny!)
It's
a young con, so we know there are some growing pains (next year - Wifi
hotspots!) Still, I think there's enough energy and fresh ideas to keep
it going for years to come. The con chairs and staff worked their ASSES
off making it unique. We deeply appreciate everyone who came in
(from Atlanta and New York and TORONTO!) and are already saying they
can't wait for next year.
Neither can I!
Enjoy the previews - full Gallery should be out in 2-3 weeks!
(There is also a Midoricon Outtakes Gallery on Facebook!)
