Even if Spring has been slow to arrive this year (thirty degrees this morning! ARGH!) Con season is in full bloom! There's several events coming up, (A&G, ACEN, and Colossal) where I'm offering Private Shoots - but why book a personal photoshoot?
Glad you asked! Read on, oh seeker of knowledge!
1. Starring... YOU!
By making an appointment, you are investing in your work and making sure it gets the attention it deserves. You don’t need to fret about whether you will get ANY shots of all your hard work - you will!
2. Details Big and Small
This
time is dedicated to YOU! These are not point-and-run hallway shots.
This is your time to get the shots you’re dreaming of! I take detail
shots as well as full-body. We will take a variety of shots, so you have
plenty to choose from. Also, I will find a great location/ lighting
that fits your costume!
3. Posing Assistance
Worried
how to pose? Afraid the photographer doesn’t know your series? Never
fear! I understand the unique needs of a cosplayer - You poured blood,
sweat, and tears into this outfit. Years of shooting portraits gives me a
deep well of poses and ideas to draw on. Also, before the shoot, I
research each series to make sure I understand the character and the
show. Be prepared, that’s my motto!
4. Editing
This
is not a Flickr dump where even the bad, blinking shots get posted
online. You deserve the BEST images, which is why after a shoot I use
Lightroom and Photoshop to select and perfect the final images. You look
amazing - and I’ll make sure the photos do too!
5. A Time Frame
Ever
had photos just... NOT show up? Ever gone pouring through photo
galleries after an event trying to find ONE photo? It’s a terrible
feeling - so leave it behind! By booking a shoot, you get a time frame
(generally 2-3 weeks), the photos delivered on time, and put right in
your inbox! Easy!
BONUS:
Sneak Peeks and Outtakes!
Photoshoots are VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS!
Yeah right - they're fun, and we get to share those photos too!
So that's it! I hope to see you soon - What cons are YOU planning on hitting?
