Late sun spilled blazed across the fields. Soaking up the last heat of the season, the wild grains bobbed merrily. Squirrels chattered and fussed and snatched up nuts. Only a few weeks until the snow.
As gold spilled across every path, Demeter, Greek harvest goddess, strolled out to enjoy her works.
Emma chose the fields at the Park of Roses to showcase her lovely Demeter costume! The falling leaves and rich colors were a perfect compliment to her work.
She also brought a cornucopia's worth of late fall squash and vegetables - a nice touch! (Fact: Pumpkins are heavy. Even tiny ones. Good thing I had a goddess helping me!)
Overall, I cannot think of a better way to spend a fall afternoon!
